Lewis Pullman and Danielle Brooks announced the 98th Academy Awards nominations this evening, with two films securing clear favor. Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” and Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” earned the most recognition.
The secured favor from Academy voters manifested through comprehensive nominations. “One Battle After Another” secured recognition in directing, adapted screenplay, multiple acting categories, cinematography, and sound design. The extensive acknowledgment reflects the film’s excellence.
“Sinners” secured equally favorable treatment through nominations in directing, cinematography, production design, costume design, sound design, visual effects, and acting. Coogler’s ambitious vision clearly resonated with voters.
Other films securing nominations include “Marty Supreme,” which earned recognition in directing and acting categories. “Hamnet,” “Sentimental Value,” and “Frankenstein” also found favor. Unfortunately, “Homebound” failed to secure any favor.
Oscar night arrives on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where cinema’s elite will gather. The ceremony will air at 7 p.m. ET on ABC, broadcasting the celebration worldwide.
