Rhombus has introduced the DC10 Single-Door Controller, a compact and cloud-managed solution aimed at delivering enterprise-grade access control to single-door environments. This newly launched controller is designed to connect individual doors directly to Rhombus’s cloud-based platform, enabling remote management, lockdown capabilities, and integration with various smart sensors.
The DC10’s compact design makes it suitable for installation in diverse locations such as offices, retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and isolated entrances where a multi-door controller might not be feasible. The device features one wet/dry relay, one dry auxiliary relay, and four inputs that can be supervised or unsupervised for functions like request-to-exit and door position monitoring.
With its IK08-rated, plenum-mountable design, the DC10 can be installed near protected doors, including above drop ceilings or in tight spaces. The controller supports 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough, which allows for both power and connectivity through a single cable, and can also support a nearby camera.
In addition, the DC10 offers built-in connectivity for Rhombus’s environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors as well as panic buttons, with a line-of-sight range of up to 100 meters. This feature enhances the security capabilities of the system by allowing for comprehensive sensor integration.
The controller is equipped with Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring constant cloud access and enabling operators to manage doors remotely without the need for an on-site server. This functionality is designed to expand cloud-based access control to smaller or distributed locations, simplifying installation and reducing infrastructure needs.
